Where can I read Hypatia's books for free

  • Looking for a way to fuel your voracious reading appetite on a limited budget? My books are part of Kindle Unlimited (KU). This is a monthly subscription platform through Amazon. Yes, it costs money, but if you devour multiple books a month, it's worth it.

  • I'm slowly working at getting my books into libraries. Your best bet is to contact your library and ask them to purchase my book, or fill out one of their suggestion forms for which books to buy. The more people who ask, the more likely they are to stock it, so get your friends to request as well.

  • My books occasionally go on sale, or take part in free promotions. To be notified of these opportunities, sign up for my newsletter at the Newsletter link.

I do strongly advise against downloading files for my books from unlicensed and unreliable sources. Many of these sites exist in order to slip malware onto your computer. They've also likely stolen my book from somewhere, which means they're hurting the little guy.

Why are your books only in Kindle Unlimited?

At this point in my career, it is the best option for me personally. The sheer number of subscribers to KU means my books reach the eyes of people who might not otherwise see them. Do I hope one day to go wide and reach a different audience? Yes, I'd love to. But right now is not that time. Though recently KU has allowed ebooks to appear in libraries, so I'm working on that.

Do you have any samples or freebies?

Yes, I do. Everyone who signs up to my Newsletter gets access to all my free and special stories. Those currently include my Beyond the Veil prequel novella and a queer anthology, among other sort stories. Sign up to my Newsletter to get access.

Do your books have spice?

Some of them do and some do not. Your best bet is to check here under each book's tab. My books will never be heavy spice or erotica, but they do have some open door scenes.

Will there be more books in the beyond the veil series?

This is sort of a trick question. The Beyond the Veil series as it stands is complete. I have no more full length novels planned for Everleigh and Silas. I may or may not venture more into Kalanthami's history.

I do, however, have many stories set in the fae realm to come. So, you haven't seen the last of these characters. many will make return guest appearances, and a few even become main characters in their own stories.

Do your books have any LGBTQ characters?

They sure do!

Beyond the Veil trilogy: Secondary and tertiary characters - bisexual

Rise of the fae king - main characters are bisexual in a homo-normative culture

The Grand Shahala - Main characters are a Lesbian and a bisexual in a hetero-normative world

Kiss of the Rogue's Blade - currently available in the queer anthology - To Steal a Rogue's Heart - contains three bisexual main characters in a heteronormative world.

Future works are planned with more LGBT characters

Do your books have a specific reading order?

Some of them, yes.

Beyond the Veil trilogy: Books should be read in publication and/or chronilogical order

Rise of the fae king - This is a prequel novella that can be read at any point in the series, however I personally think it sits best between books 2 and 3 (BotD and BtV)

Daughters of Sand - The Grand Shahala is followed by Into the Faranja and they must be read in order.

Kiss of the Rogue's Blade - currently available in the queer anthology - To Steal a Rogue's Heart - a separate story set in the same world as Grand Shahala but many years in the past, it can be read at any point in the series.

I found an error in your book, what should I do?

If you're one of my arc readers, then please send me a list of errors you found, I'd truly appreciate it.

If the book is already published, chances are those mistakes are here to stay. All books have errors in them, it's simply what happens, no matter how many times you read or re-read or hire someone else to go through it. Mistakes always make it in.

if you have specialist knowledge about a topic in my book you think I misrepresented, I'm happy to hear from you to learn more.

How do get an ARC copy of your book or join your team?

I put out a general ARC call when I have a new book coming out. I usually offer spots to my newsletter first. So your best bet is to join my newsletter or follow me on Instagram.

While reviews are not mandatory to join the ARC team, please don't apply for an ARC if you have no intention of genuinely trying to review the book. They are called Advanced Review Copies.

What if I'm on your ARC team but I can't review the book?

It's ok. I get it. Life gets in the way, or maybe you simply didn't enjoy the book. No problem. However, if you have no intention of reviewing the book, please do not apply for an ARC. These books are meant to generate buzz before release and help boost sales for a small time author like myself. Only those genuinely interested in reading the book should apply.

If you think you will have more issues in the future reviewing books, you can email me and ask to be removed from the team without being removed from my newsletter completely.
